چکیده
Abstract Background Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White) Chitwood is a major pest of eggplant in Pakistan. The second-stage juveniles (J2s) feed on the roots eggplant. Damaged swell plant exhibits stunted growth. Mostly farmers rely use broad-spectrum nematicides. However, due to hazardous effects environment non-target species, its application greatly criticized. Fungal biocontrol agents have been long used for curtailing root-knot nematode infections. present study was conducted determine virulence four fungal against M. under laboratory greenhouse conditions. Results vitro results revealed that Trichoderma harzianum significantly caused 77.60% egg inhibition, followed by Pochonia chlamydosporium (53.0% ) at 1:1 concentration after 72 h. maximum J2s mortality achieved T. (82.0%), P. (70.20%) in-planta examination carried out demonstrated soil drench treatment suppressed parameters upraised mean least number galls (22.25) treated plants, while control had (206.8) galls. Likewise, curtailed masses 35.75 swollen females 21.12 than negative (224.13 182.75 females). Conclusion best agent effectively, chlamydosporum . may be contribution biological

Effects of four fungi and six rhizobacteria isolates from the rhizosphere of vegetable crops was studied for suppression of root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita and wilt fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici on tomato in laboratory and pot culture experiment. All the isolates were isolated by serial dilution and cultured in liquid protein supplemented broth medium and culture filtr...

Background: Root-knot nematodes are known to cause significant damage to eggplants. New approaches by green silver nanoparticles (GSN) are used to control plant-parasitic nematode to avoid chemical nematicide hazards. Objectives: Analyses of the incorporation of different concentrations of nanoparticles on two different algae (Ulva lactuca and Turbinaria turbinata) were carried out. Fureth...

Root-knot nematodes (RKN) cause substantial yield decline in eggplant and sustainable management options to minimize crop damage due to nematodes are still limited. A number of genetic engineering strategies have been developed to disrupt the successful plant-nematode interactions. Among them, delivery of proteinase inhibitors from the plant to perturb nematode development and reproduction is a...

The Nematodes are roundworms that are found in every environment of the earth. While some species are harmful parasites, others play a vital role in nutrient cycle and medical research. Nematode infestation in the fields is poly-specific; however, depending on the agro-climatic conditions, one or two species are dominant over the rest. The present studies attempts to observe and control the roo...
